D.Pharma eligibility
Who can apply for the two-year Diploma in Pharmacy, and who cannot.
The requirement
What you need to apply
Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics.
You can apply
- 10+2 (Intermediate) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology
- 10+2 (Intermediate) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
- Awaiting your 10+2 result — you may apply, subject to passing
You cannot, yet
- 10+2 in Commerce without Physics and Chemistry
- 10+2 in Arts or Humanities without Physics and Chemistry
- 10th pass only — the diploma requires 10+2
Physics and Chemistry are not negotiable — they are the regulator’s requirement, not the institute’s preference. If you took a different stream and still want to work in pharmacy, call 7706033222 and we will tell you honestly what your options are.
Biology or Mathematics — does it matter?
No. Either combination is accepted, and neither puts you ahead. The first-year syllabus assumes no prior Biology and no prior Mathematics beyond 10+2 level, so students from both streams start together.
