Department of Pharmaceutics

Drug formulation, dosage form design, and production practice.

Pharmaceutics covers how a drug is made into a medicine a patient can take, such as tablets, capsules, liquids, creams and injections, and how each form is tested.

It is a first-year subject. In the practicals, students prepare the dosage forms themselves and check each one against the standard it has to meet.
