JEECUP counselling, step by step
Seats in D.Pharm colleges in Uttar Pradesh are allotted through JEECUP counselling. This is the process, step by step.
Overview
How JEECUP works
JEECUP, the Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh, holds the entrance exam for diploma courses and then the counselling in which seats are allotted.
For D.Pharm, apply under Group E1 if you studied Biology in 10+2, or Group E2 if you studied Mathematics.
Dates, fees and the brochure
Dates, fees, the information brochure and group details are published here each year. Always use the current year's brochure.

From application to reporting
6 steps, in the order they happen.
Apply in the right group
Apply on jeecup.admissions.nic.in: Group E1 if you studied Biology, E2 if Mathematics. Use a mobile number and email you will keep.
Take the exam
Download the admit card from the portal and carry the photo identity document it asks for.
Register for counselling
Counselling is a separate registration after the result, with a ₹250 fee. A rank alone does not enter you into counselling.
Fill and lock your choices
List every college you would join, in order of preference, and lock the list before the deadline.
Accept an allotted seat
If you are allotted a seat, pay the ₹3,000 seat acceptance fee. Then choose freeze to keep the seat, or float to stay in later rounds for a higher choice.
Verify documents and report
Documents are verified at a district help centre. Then report to the allotted college within the dates given, or the seat is released.
Mistakes to avoid
Each of these can cost an eligible candidate a seat.
- Missing counselling registration
- It is separate from the exam and has its own deadline.
- Leaving the choice list unlocked
- Lock the list before the window closes, and keep a screenshot.
- Listing too few colleges
- List every college you would actually join, in honest order.
- Mixing up freeze and float
- Freeze ends your part in later rounds. Float keeps you in them and can move you to another seat.
- Paying the wrong person
- Counselling fees are paid only on the JEECUP portal. Do not pay any agent or individual for a seat.
- Reporting late
- An allotted seat is released if you do not report within the dates.
Documents to keep ready
Bring the originals and a set of photocopies. Check that your name and date of birth match on every document.
- Class 10 marksheet and certificate
- Class 12 marksheet and certificate
- JEECUP admit card and rank card
- Counselling registration and seat allotment letters
- Category certificate, if you are applying for a reserved seat
- Domicile certificate, where required
- Transfer certificate and character certificate
- Passport-size photographs and a photo identity document
